UPDATE: I just reformatted this whole thing, I hope it looks nicer on whichever device you’re using. Please watch for, and answer upcoming poll, it’s important! Thanx! xxoo
Alexandria Library puts out the best Halloween posters every year. They’re kid friendly, and most are clever AF.
Not only that, but they make them available for free download for your own local library to use, or for you just to collect like I’ve been doing for a few years. (No, I never print them out. No, I have no clue either. But I did just make a #BM from a image I downloaded to my Kindle in 2014, so ya never know!)
They do posters for all holidays, and other occasions. Plus a new one to download every month, just for S&G! I signed up to their newsletter a few years back, and today’s email reminded me to show you guys 🙂 If you’re interested, have a look at their site and check out other cool things they do to inspire readers, and get people to fall back in love with their library cards 💕
When I picked up TRY THE NEW CANDY and saw the added bonus of the illustrations I knew I’d found something special. Now I look forward to the illustrations almost as much as new stories – almost. Both covers are cool, but who doesn’t love an unattached head?! The slick ass new cover is just in time for this Halloween slasher, too! It may not stick around, so you should make sure you own both… It’s money in the bank – one will be a collectors item.
You’ve read it, right? If I heard a ‘no’ out there somewhere, it’s the perfect time to fix that faux pas. Scary Bastard expands on one of the SSs in Try The New Candy. The book just celebrated it’s first birthday, and it grew two whole chapters for it’s b-day! Now the slick ass cover is on ‘The Author’s Preferred Edition‘ 😉 What better time than a brisk October night to read a blood drenched tale that takes place on Halloween, and is packed with more craziness than a normal person could handle?! NEVER! There’ll never be a better time than now! So… stop trying to pretend you’re normal, and GO GET SCARY BASTARD!
What do a child killer, a hopeful special effects artist, a duo of budding teen psychopaths, a student screwing teacher and a mutated maniac with his lower jaw missing have in common? They’re all out this Halloween. How will their paths cross? Who’s killing who? Can anyone survive the bloodbath or are they all destined to drown in a pool of warm red? This slasher nightmare gives you a seat beside the killer but don’t get too comfortable, there’s a Scary Bastard on the loose… (This book includes 9 horrifying illustrations to guide you through the terror!)
I always tell you guys not to pass up the author’s notes, and here is no exception. You never know what you might learn, or miss. BTW, Aron’s dog has got the coolest name EVER!

A group of young drug addicts—led by drug dealer Jared Hatcher—plan to rob the wealthy Cohen family on Halloween to escape their dead-end town outside of Las Vegas. They devise the perfect plan with the perfect victims and the perfect getaway. But one act of violence quickly leads to another, triggering a chain-reaction of never-ending mayhem.
Can the desperate trespassers successfully complete their robbery and leave their lives of despair? Or will the fragile Cohens fight back and save themselves?
Jon Athan, the author of Lovesick and Into the Wolves’ Den, presents a bleak, disturbing, and gory home invasion novel—an unforgettable night of desperation and carnage.
Original Goodreads and Amazon reviews lost –
A perfect plan, with perfect victims and a perfect getaway goes horrifyingly wrong – bringing brutal, and bloody results. If your “Perfect Team” happens to end up being just the opposite – maybe give it a minute to rethink things, instead of trying to keep them abord with threats and violence. (I’d stab a bitch in the throat for questioning my loyalty once things get rolling, and if said bitch tried that in front of a victim… I might not stop there. Who’s loyal now? This lonely rich gal right here 😉). <—– yeah… in my dreams, right?! That was a dream sequence, haha! But I’m a badass too when I’m in the middle of a story, yelling out at the characters!!!
